Brush Hill is a new nature reserve  occupying a prominent stretch of the Chiltern  escarpment  linking Kop Hill to Whiteleaf Cross and running above the Upper Icknield Way just outside the town.
The reserve is a wonderful mix of wildlife habitats and historical sites, from  ancient beech woodland to open grass downland, and supports a rich variety  of plants, insects and birds.
Various footpaths and the Ridgeway Path itself offer good accesss across the reserve and the Whiteleaf car park at the top of Peters Lane is ideally situated for visitors. There are stunning views from the top of the reserve across  the vale to the Berkshire Downs and the Cotswolds.
It is managed by the Wycombe District Council ranger service in partnership with the Risborough Countryside Group and the local branch of Butterfly Conservation.

To enter, walk a short distance downhill from the Whiteleaf Cross car park and the entrance is up a short slope on your LHS.

As part of the HLF funded community project to improve access to Brush Hill, visitors can now enter via a new access point. A level, clearly marked circular trail, with only gentle slopes, meanders through the wood and is suitable for  those with limited mobility or families with young children. The path opens out to the top of the hill overlooking Princes Risborough and the beautiful countryside beyond, one of the best panoramas in the Chilterns.
